I have been fortunate enough to make quite a few trips to Hawaii. It started with a honeymoon to Kauai. I just couldn't stand being on that small of an island, with all that blue water around and pass up dropping a line in the water. I really didn't know much about Hawaii fishing, so I picked up the yellow pages and found a guy named Dave Moses. He asked me to call him in the morning and he would tell me where to meet him. We met in a little cove. There was a couple who were also on this shared charter. We loaded our gear into a small boat that took us to a 25 footer.
It turned out to be a very rough day on the water. The guys wife got seasick. We rotated trolling and I got the first fish, a large Mahi Mahi. A little later the other guy got a Skipjack. I did get some video of the trip, but my luggage never made it back to California and all the video was in the suitcase.
